Asher Zamir is a prominent New York City philanthropist and real estate investor. Originally from Iran, Mr. Zamir became an American citizen when he was just a teenager.
Having grown up in New York City, Mr. Zamir studied finance and business administration at New York University after completing his undergraduate degree at Queens College. Asher Zamir is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zamir Equities, a privately-held New York City-based real estate private equity firm.

Having founded Zamir Equities in 2003, Mr. Zamir is responsible for the origination and structuring of all of Zamir Equities' investment activities, as well as raising institutional capital and portfolio management. He is also the head of investments for Zamir Equities and oversees all asset management and portfolio holdings of the firm.
Before establishing Zamir Equities, Mr. Zamir built a successful diamond manufacturer and distributor with locations in Israel and India, along with his brothers Yehuda and Morad. Additionally, Mr. Zamir has been involved in the real estate industry since 1991, including several residential conversion projects in Manhattan and commercial properties throughout the US and abroad.
With more than 40 years of marriage, Asher Zamir has four children and several grandchildren. He is an active philanthropist, and resides in New York City.
